Construction & material

R & A has its own Computerized Kiln Drying system that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to keep the perfect equilibrium for every piece of timber used in your cabinet. The International standard for wood drying is 12%, and ours is 8%-10%. Moreover, we manage to keep the moisture tolerance between two adjacent pieces below 2%.

(Moisture Content)*

The moisture content of wood is directly related to the humidity and temperature of the surrounding air. When the wood has reached equilibrium with its environment and is not longer gaining or losing moisture, we say the equilibrium moisture content (EMC) has occurred.

Grain is everything unique about plants. A tree devotes its very essence to the beauty of grain. In the old days, only the aristocrats were able to enjoy the luxury, but now with the development of veneering techniques, anyone can have their wish come true.
Wood veneer at the moment can be “manipulated” into any pattern that suits your preference by different cutting methods and figure matching.
