As a result of the rapid economy development and a priority on energy consumption industries, China is now facing challenging issues regarding environmental protection.
It is often heard in the business that the environmental protection is always No.2 on the list, after development. As one of the many export-oriented companies, R & A, however, refuses to compromise!
- 1. Every piece of wood is a gift from the God. We will minimize the waste by:
- Purchasing wood products in optimum dimensions that enable us to attain the highest yield possible from every raw material board.
- Using particle board & MDF which contains a significant proportion of recycled material.
- Using sophisticated technology to save all leftover materials and glue them into laminated timber so as to attain the highest utilization rate.
- 2. CARB Formaldehyde limits in wood panels
With all emphasis on energy and water, we sometimes forget that there is another aspect to sustainability that is not as often mentioned, indoor air quality. Conforming to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved regulations, the levels of formaldehyde – a chemical compound generally used in the binding of wood products – in hardwood plywood, medium density fiberboard and particle board is dramatically reduced to 0.05 for the lowest!

For detailed standard, please check http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/formaldehyde/standards.html
- 3. Ecological paint
The paint adopted on the surface of our vanities conforms to the National Standard GB18581-2001, a controlling standard targeted at interior used PE paint. In fact, the content of harmful substances in our paint is substantially lower than the standard:
